NEWFUTURES ART COLLABORATIVE 
in partnership with Initiatives of Change US (IofC),

& Exploring Visual Cultures (E.V.C) 
 

COMMON GROUND - DECOLONIAL ART RESIDENCY

This collective co-creation project seeks to address the climate crisis, understanding its connection with knowledge systems, and exploitative structures such as patriarchy and colonialism. It will aim to explore other epistemologies and ontologies which can help us towards creating sustainable futures.

2023

ART & EDUCATION PROJECT WITH MIGRANT AND DISPLACED ARTISTS

Conducted in partnership with People Beyond Borders e.V, the Training of Trainers project is a collective research and artistic project challenging hierarchical knowledge systems, and rethinking home, togetherness and community. It unfolded over the period of 5 months (February to June 2023), with a group of migrant and refugee artists, predominantly women, coming from 10 different nationalities and various art practices.
 

WORKSHOPS

In June 2023, as part of Berlin Refugee Week in partnership with Mensch Raum Land and Counterpoints Arts, we proposed two workshops called: "Relearning to learn / break to create: reflections and practices of sharing a horizontal ecosystem".

LECTURES

In 2023, we were invited to two lectures as guest lecturers, to present our Art and Education Project: Exploring Visual Cultures " A Gender Matters Conference", Pretoria, September 2023. CIRCLE, ATTENDED EVENTS AND PROGRAMS

In 2023, we have worked with partners and networks in France, Croatia, Germany, Brazil, and have been invited to participate to, or co-organise several programs: Croatia: Organisational support to the Stadt Land Vielfalt Project - how to revitalise rural and isolated areas - Mensch Raum Land - October 2023. France: Attendance at the Network Diversity and Participation's Meeting in Genevillier - November 2023. Co-implementation of the Project "Let's Build a Green Future", with the French Association Virvolt, in partnership with Mensch Raum Land e.V, with the support of OFAJ and bpb.de. - December 2023.
